As a lover of all things books, this is hard for me to reconcile. But for some - especially those who are new to reading or who struggle with the task - reading is a chore or a task. And maybe that is true. It can be a task. It can be tedious. Anyone read any Joyce lately?
But I like to think people just haven't found the right books for them...yet. The ones that don't feel like a chore because you are having so much fun, immersed in a completely different world. For the younger set, humor is one of the best routes to encourage kids to read. It's hard to think you don't like reading when you are giggling.
Do you know someone who thinks reading is boring? Here are some of our favorite humorous reads for 2019. Give one or two of them a try, and let me know if you change any minds!
